p3
2
this is my resource evaluation of what I have/will need. some I currently have while others are things that I need to obtain in order to do my career goal
strengths-gaming laptop/computer,transport,
weaknesses -funding,,online presences, programming skills,team,equipment
opportunities- contacts,work space/studio
threats- marker place for different genre of games, lack of access to a work place
3
- the resources I already have a gaming laptop/computer, transport my be a slight problem with relying on buses to get to and from places as I don't have a drivers licence yet I can easily create an online presences for my future plan at any-time such as twitter/facebook or any other type of social networking. I have applied for my provisional and my dad is going to teach me how to drive then I will get some lessons.my dad is happen to let me borrow is car
- I can access a team once i leave uni since some people that do the computer game technology course go on a try to make up an indi game company. this is one way of me getting a team as i could end up working with a classmate in the future.
- for offices and work spaces fund would be lacking to rent a place to use to the use of people houses would be done instead as it will be easier at first. i can raise funds by getting a part time job. I can also go to a bank to get a business loan .once funds have been raised renting a small office out in Cambridge should be fairly easy. offices to rent this is a site I can investigate for renting and office.
- equipment is something that can be done later on, it would go down as basically computers and types of game design software that would can and a wifi for a connection office equipment such as desks and chairs would be needed and have an account set up for electricity and any-other utilities . examples of such software to make games. http://tyranobuilder.com/ https://unity3d.com/
list of game development studios in Cambridge. they can act as contacts and possible apprenticeships.

P4: Careers Plan Flow Diagram

Key
Blue-long term plans at Uni,pink -short term plans to make small indi company to develop one or two small games-bright green-medium term plans are the course at uni where some of my projects would have to be developing my own game
evaluation
short term-plans are to make a small basic indi company outside of Uni and make a few games, hopefully this will last longer than it is indented to last and could go on for a while hopefully
medium term-plans are to make a few games with-in Uni while i am doing the course
long term-plans are to finish the computer games technology course at Anglian Rusin and get a job with-in the industry
contingency plan-if all else fails my back-up plan is a program that anglia ruskin are doing for people who don't make it into the university where they help them with what they can do
plan
skills and measures i will address in my plan are to learn to Program, this will be the must needed skill for computer game development and as a measure to learning it my dad can assist me/ show me a bit more on programming out side of Uni to help me understand it more quicker as the first term is learning the basics of programming as they must act like no one knows how to do it as some people may know while others may not know.
in the next 3-4 years to help raise funds i could take up a part time job to help aid in the raising of funds for my plan. i can also try to establish some kind of relationship with some gave development studios around cambridge and try for an apprenticeship there for work experience, this will help me as it will get me used to the industry and know what it likes
